Float Trips

Float trips can be booked whenever a guide and boat are available. A booking at least two weeks in advance is recommended, but don't hesitate to call on a short notice. There may still be openings available.

Potomac float trip fees are $600 per boat, with 2 anglers to a boat. A deposit of $300 is necessary to reserve a float trip date. The remaining balance must be paid a week before the trip date. As anglers have different styles and skill levels, we do not pair up single anglers. Please find your own fishing companion or splurge a little and have the whole boat and guide to yourself.

Upon receipt of your trip deposit, a confirmation letter will be mailed to you. It will include a map showing where to meet, recommendations on tackle and clothing, important phone numbers, and the time and date of your trip. Potomac float trips meet at 8 a.m. at the boat ramp under the Rt 17 bridge in Brunswick, MD. 

Cancellations:
If the river is unfishable on the date of your trip due to high discolored water or flooding, we will either reschedule your trip on a day convenient for you or refund your money.

If you are unable to fish on your scheduled day, we will gladly reschedule your trip or refund your money provided that you contact us 7 or more days before the date of your trip. Within a week of the trip, we are unable to provide a rescheduling or refund. If you find yourself in this situation, we recommend that you give or resell the trip to someone else.

2024 Basic/Intermediate Fly Fishing Classes
Bass Schools - Potomac River, Harpers Ferry, WV:

The basic class fee is $200 per person. The advanced fee is $300 per person. An outfitted fly rod and reel along with a fishing vest and flies can be provided for the day at no additional charge. A $100 deposit is required to reserve a place in a fly fishing class. The remaining balance is due the day the class meets. Deposits can be transferred to another date or refunded as long as notice is given 7 days prior to the school date.
